Off-Campus Student Involvement (OCSI) provides services to support and enhance the educational experience of ALL students who live off-campus. This is achieved through social, educational, informational, and developmental programs to help students get connected to campus, discover involvement and leadership opportunities, and learn more about campus life. Join the Off-Campus Student Programming Board! This is a student-run initiative designed to meet the needs of our 14,000+ undergraduate and 9000+ graduate off-campus students. Fill out and submit an electronic application here: Student Programming Board app

The Board plays an integral part in planning Off-Campus Student Appreciation Week in April, as well as various other social, informational, and educational events throughout the academic year. Upcoming projects include planning a group retreat and establishing a mentoring program for transfer students. for Outstanding Service to Off-Campus Students, Tori Karp! (more)

Tori Karp graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2009 with a degree in sociology. She spent much of her time at Maryland focusing on the needs of off-campus students. During the 2008-09 academic year, Tori served as the President of the Off-Campus Student Programming Board, where she oversaw the planning of events that benefit off-campus students. She also interned for Off-Campus Student Involvement during the summer of 2008.

Contact Off-Campus Housing Services at 301.314.3645 or och@umd.edu with a contact name, phone number, and rental property address. OCH will contact PGPD daily with requests received. PGPD will then schedule your security consultation.

If you have any information regarding the recent assaults near campus, you are asked to call 1-866-411-TIPS. All tips remain anonymous. Report any suspicious activity near or around your off-campus residence to the Prince George′s County Police Department at 1-866-411-TIPS.

In general, if you are concerned about safety, contact the UM Police Department (911 for emergencies; 301.405.3555 for non-emergencies).
