PURPOSE
The Office of Campus Programs provides support to over four hundred registered student organizations. Student organizations at the University of Maryland serve a valuable educational function, offering students the opportunity to join together in governmental, cultural, political, and/or special interest groups.
Organizations also offer opportunities for students to assume various leadership roles in carrying out the mission of a group; affording students a unique experiential component to their campus lives. In addition, organizations contribute a range of perspectives to the overall University community, thus enriching the academic environment.
