Michelle Farley:

Michelle is a second-year graduate student, studying historic preservation and urban planning. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where she was a member of the Minnesota Student Association, the Queer Student Cultural Center, and the women's rugby team.

Michelle advises the LGBT student organization, the Pride Alliance, along with the five social/support constituent groups Safe Space (SS), True Colours of Maryland (TCOM), Bisexuals at Maryland (BAM), TransU, and Woman2Woman (W2W). Michelle also assists in planning an coordinating the programs that occur in Community meetings which draw a broader range of members of the Pride Alliance in addition to those students who are active with the constituent groups. In addition Michelle facilitates Queer Central, which functions as a communication conduit between the LGBT units at the University of Maryland and acts as an advisory board to the LGBT Equity Office. Those units actively involved in this group are the LGBT Equity Office, LGBT Studies, Smith Pride, the Pride Alliance and the Graduate Lambda Coalition.

Michelle loves to skate, play rugby, study karate, knit, and is totally addicted to Netflix.
